I'm so unoriginal that I keep borrowing ideas from other people's blogs for blog posts and I found this one on a blog that I just started to follow, called A Yummy Mummy from a Pink Park Bench. I definitely have more than ten (who doesn't?), but I don't have all night!1. Starbucks' (has to be grande-sized) White Chocolate Mocha (hot in the winter and over ice in the summer). I became addicted to these while I was in grad school. Ever since I got pregnant, I've been scared to have even the smallest amount of caffeine and I miss having my daily pick-me-up beverage. No wonder I can't stay awake through all these seminars! I recently found out that Starbucks has half-caff drinks. I'm soooo there!
2. Bubble Tea Drinks aka Boba (pictured). These are the drinks (usually smoothies) with small tapioca pearls (boba) that you sip through an extra large straw. I just found a place nearby that serves them and I was stoked. But Malu and I had a "usual" place that we used to go to in Colorado. We always asked for the same thing--large plum-flavored with extra boba. It was a little drive up place, and when the owners would see us coming they'd always say, "hey, it's the extra boba folks!" Heck, my mom went there once and the owner was like, "hey, you're the mom of the boba girl!" It was that bad. But if you've never had one, try it! They're delicious!
3. Ballet flats. Actually most of the shoes I own are flats, as I have flat feet and can't stand to be in heels for more than five minutes. They're just so comfy, I can't live without them. And I have soooo many pairs.
4. Shopping at Ross. Everytime I go there, I walk out with something, be it a few tops, a pair (or pairs) of shoes, a new serving platter, etc. That place is addictive.
5. Hard-backed Books. I'm weird, but when I go to Barnes and Noble to buy a new book, I almost always have to get the hard copy version. I think it's the OCD part of me that doesn't want the book to be all bent out of shape once I'm done with it.
6. Handwashing Dishes. I have a dishwasher, but there is something calming and therapeutic about handwashing them. Maybe it's really just the aromatherapeutic Palmolive dish soap I've been using. Hmmm.
7. Vaseline or Chapstick. Gotta have it on me. I hate having chapped lips!
8. Chocolate. Chocolate anything. Need I say more. I should have listed this first.
9. Bottled water. It has to be bottled. I have to be desperate to drink it from the tap, even though it's probably the same as drinking it bottled. I think this need arose after being deployed in Iraq the first time and all we had was bottled water. They had pallets of bottled water cases just outside our rooms--free for the taking. And they were like 2-liter sized bottles!
10. Facebook-ing. All day, every day...even at work. I close my office door when I do this. It is definitely an addiction!
So, friends...what are your guilty pleasures?
